Workshop & Accommodation

This Workshop is held at the Caravan Park (In the Games Room).

Tandara Caravan Park, 9 Village Ave Traralgon. Phone (03) 5133 6206. Approximately 3 Km West of Traralgon, next to the Hospital.


Caravans and Cabins are on site. Please book early as there are limited sites available. We believe that the Caravan Park is pet friendly. Please mention the Victorian Facetors' Group when making your booking.

What to Bring

Bring everything chair, table, adaptors, power board, 10x, head visor, transfer jig, dops, dopping medium, bucket, tissues, rough material and whatever you need for a good weekend’s faceting. Don’t forget your mug for a cuppa.


Tandara Caravan Park has superb facilities, including a recently upgraded Out-Door Kitchen and Barbecue Area for Workshop attendees to enjoy.

Program & Fees

Friday 21st: Arrive and set up 2pm. Faceting until 5.00 pm then an evening session 7pm to 9pm.

Saturday 22nd: Start 8 am faceting all day until 5pm, then an evening session 7 pm to 9 pm.

Sunday 23rd: Start 8.am faceting until 10.30 am Meeting will start. After meeting continue faceting till 5.00 pm. Evening session 7pm to 9.00 pm.

Monday 24th: Start 8am faceting until 12.00 Noon.


WORKSHOP FEES - We charge a Minimal Fee to attend the workshop.

Tandara Caravan Park - Caravan Sites

At Tandara Caravan Park we have an array of powered sites, some with concrete pads and some spacious grassy sites set amongst the trees and garden surrounds.  Power and water connections are available on each site.  We also have ensuite sites available.


At Tandara Caravan Park we also have space available for caravan storage either short or long term.

Faceting Workshops

About Our Workshops

A typical Workshop with many members bringing their faceting machines to use.

The Victorian Facetors’ Group promotes the faceting of natural and man-made gemstones and the enjoyment of this hobby.


Whether you are a member of a gem club or not, or an old hand or even a novice, we will help take your faceting skills to the next level.

Locations

A cut and polished Citrine.

Our Group meets four times a year in different locations across Victoria running four-day Faceting Workshops.


The object is to give as many members as possible the chance to attend a workshop and get together with like-minded facetors in a very supportive and welcoming environment.

What We Do

Polishing the pavilion of a gemstone.

Bring your own faceting machine and divide your time between faceting, and sharing advice, and participating in some friendly discussion sessions. Or just call in for a coffee.

We usually have a variety of models in operation so you can compare them and chat with the owners.
